Shinigami

General Information

Name: Jimetsu Seisei

Age: 150 - appearance of a fifteen year old

Gender: Female

Appearance: Seisei only stands at five foot five, and wears geta sandals with two inch "teeth" to appear taller to make up for lack of height. She got rid of the pink hair clips, and switched to red ribbons to hold up her charcoal black hair away from her dusty gray eyes. Her attire is the mundane Captain shinigami clothing with her sword spirit called Tanoshige always sitting on her right shoulder (he prefers to be called Tanoshige instead of Ruika due to Ruika being his 'darker side'). Seisei is often seen with a tessen (iron fan) in her hands when relaxing; her zanpakuto rests along her back. Tanoshige is a twelve inch tall male doll with neatly cut russet hair, round harlequin eyes, and is able to make facial features on his own. He also wears a shinigami attire with a box of chocolate pocky strapped to his back.

Personal Information

Likes: Seisei enjoys chocolate pocky, creating dolls, reading Death Note manga, collecting plushies, working, and playing with her kendama. Tanoshige enjoys playing Hide-And-Seek, stalking people, eating pocky and making people go crazy.

Dislikes: Seisei hates strawberry pocky, annoying people, sharing Tanoshige and people in general. Tanoshige hates not being able to move, and old people (they creep him out).

Habits: Seisei always has a stick of chocolate pocky hanging from her mouth, and mumbles to Tanoshige whose habits include scaring people on a daily routine.

Frustrations: Seisei gets frustrated when people play before work, annoying people who don't know when to leave her alone, and Tanoshige playing Hide-And-Seek with her. Tanoshige does not like being ignored.

General Personality Overview: Seisei is quiet, but very childish, and only talks to Tanoshige unless spoken first by a being. When asked a question she is very blunt. She smiles all the time, and doesn't mind helping other people. Tanoshige enjoys hugs and being cuddled by Seisei.

Historical Information

Life as a Human: Bullied by other kids due to having a half-English, half-Japanese heritage, Seisei's only friends were the dolls she collected from her favorite anime. She often joked to herself she was like Near (Nate River from Death Note) who played with toys. She even had a Death Note notebook, and slightly hoped a Shinigami like Ryuk or Rem would appear.

Death: Suicide - hanging from the ceiling like a puppet after her dolls were destroyed by school kids.

As a Soul: Seisei avoided other souls, not trusting them, and only managed to take Tanoshige with her into the afterlife. She went by her motto, "Living flesh or not humans will remain human and hate what they don't like and abuse what they don't understand." She used her ability to create dolls and puppets to open a store in the Rukongai where she would make special ordered dolls/puppets. After witnessing a Captain train with their zanpakuto she decided to close her shop, and become a Shinigami.

In Rukongai: Seisei avoided people unless it was for business in which she created dolls and puppets for people who special ordered. It was her way to make money and a 'living' until she came across a Captain training with their zanpakuto. She became curious, and after observing him for a bit, asked what he was doing. They explained what was a Shinigami, and more. It was then Seisei decided to become a Shinigami as well.

Life as a Shinigami: Seisei entered the Advanced Class, and ranked third at the top of the class. After closing her shop Seisei spent her free time studying her zanpakuto, and learning its techniques and abilities. After a year she learned its name - Ruika. She still doesn't care much for people, but is now willing enough to help someone regardless of blood. She enjoys her time being a Captain of the 3rd Division. When using Ruika in shikai mode, Seisei uses only her wind tessen instead of both iron fans.

Kido
Seisei is unable to use kido, and instead uses hand-to-hand combat, or as Tanoshige says, foot to face combat.

Zanpakuto

Name: Ruika

Type: Fire and Wind

Appearance: A ninjato-type long sword with a glistening sliver blade, and a rusted-color hilt with half a circle for a guard.

Shikai

Release Name: Burn the flesh and tear up the lands! Ruika!

Shikai Appearance: Ruika shatters, and transforms into two tessen, one with the kanji for fire in the center of the iron fan while the second has the kanji for wind in the center. Both fans have ten ribs each, cream-colored paper and black protection case.

Shikai Abilities: The fire tessen will only create fire based attacks/defensive while the wind tessen only produces wind based attacks/defensive. Depending on how much spiritual energy is transferred into a fan effects the damage attack, protectiveness, size, and range. Also, once every twenty-four hours Seisei is able to disburse herself into miniature butterflies, and fly to safety.

Bankai (for vice captains and higher only)

Bankai Name: Tendou

Bankai Appearance: A child, Ruika's sword spirit, appears, and merges her fans together to create one large tessen with no kanji in the center. It has twenty ribs instead of ten. The child rests inside her doll, and is very playful in battle.

Achieving Bankai: Seisei achieved bankai by passing Tendou's tests of mastering the fire and wind elements. Through little sleep, hours of studying, and days of practice of summoning Tendou, she managed to control the giant iron fan's abilities.

Bankai Abilities: Tendou's fan combines fire and wind together to create more damage. The child himself stands behind Seisei to guard her back, and ward off unseen attacks.
